Who Is Ready for Preschool?

Only 7 More Days Until our first "Meet the Teacher" event! Who's ready to come and see your classroom, tour the playground, make new friends, greet old buddies and meet our fabulous teachers and staff? We have been hard at work getting everything prepared for your arrival and the upcoming school year. Here's a sneak peek at some of the awesome things we have worked on and added over the summer break. We can't WAIT to see you!!

Welcome New Staff Member Erica Strother

Erica Strother grew up in Cary, North Carolina. She attended Cary High School and studied business at Wake Technical Community College. From the time Erica was old enough to get a job, she has worked with children. She has been a nanny, a daycare provider, a YMCA leader, and a homeschool teacher. Erica is married to Brandyn, and they have five children from elementary to high school ages, all of who attended GFCC. She and her family live in Cary. In her spare time, Erica enjoys home projects, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. We welcome Erica Strother to the staff of GFCC as a co-teacher in the Super Stars class.

Welcome New Staff Member Melinda Daigle

Melinda Daigle grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Gettysburg College where she got her BA in Psychology. Melinda worked as a paralegal for eight years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Melinda's family joined GFCC in 2012 when her daughter became a student in the Apples class, the next year moving on to the Penguins class and then finishing her preschool career at GFCC as a Yellow Bear. Melinda enjoys cooking and baking, reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. We welcome Melinda to the staff of GFCC and to the Leap Frogs class as a Floater.

School Supplies and Shiny Floors

GFCC's "Meet the Teacher" events will begin in just 30 days. If you haven't had a reason to visit us this summer, you may be wondering what has been going on these last few weeks to get ready for our students. School Supplies and Shiny Floors... Mr. Randy has been hard at work by giving our classroom and hallway floors lots of attention. He can put a shine back on our floors like no other. As with everything, this task is a process. All of our classrooms have to be emptied of their furniture and supplies, then mopped and prepped, and then waxed and shined. Mr. Randy has done it again!
