Field Trips & Visitors
The school year 2020-21 will experience no off-site field trips and no resource persons on our facility until COVID-19 is controlled and Governor Cooper moves to the more open Plan C.
Field trips for the older children broaden their horizons by showing how their community operates and functions. Trips are designed to fit into curriculum topics and serve as enrichment activities to classroom learning.
Resource visitors, such as Fish the Magish (magician), a science enrichment teacher, a local Native American, vets, a science enrichment teacher, and dental hygienists, all enrich our curriculum as their visits are incorporated into the daily themes. Parents are also welcomed and encouraged to come and share experiences and expertise that will enrich the children’s knowledge of their community and their world.
