Drawing with the Crayons 🍎🌱🍎🐣🍎🦕🍎📚
🍎 The Crayons have been having Zoom Class Meetings. They miss each other so much, and this is a good way to still see all of their friends and teachers and stay connected.
🍎 Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Ono have also mailed activities to each of the Crayon Kids.
🌱 Their first mailing contained information about seeds and 3 actual bean seeds with instructions on how to plant them. All but one of the packets arrived safely to the Crayons' houses. The Crayon Kids were so excited and planted them immediately. They are now anxiously waiting to see any signs of growth or little plant sightings.
🌱 Some of the Crayon Kids are seeing that their seeds are sprouting and are ready for repotting.
🌱 Mrs. Johnson mailed another seed package to the Crayon Kid whose packet didn't arrive intact. She mailed sunflower seeds, another bean seed and a squash seed to the Crayon Kid and his brother. Try again, Crayon Kid!
🐣 The second mailing was a chick in the egg craft and a paper plate chicken craft. All supplies were included.
🐣 In the mailing, they also included these sheets for the Crayon Kids to work on:
a math sheet,
a Roll, Count and Write activity sheet that uses dice to help figure out the answers.. Using dice.
A Search and Color and Beginning Word Sounds sheet.
🦕 A third mailing will be sent out this week. It will contain:
Dinosaur cut outs for the Crayon Kids to cut out and glue
Each Crayon Kid will get at least three Dinosaurs, Dino foam stickers (Lots of those). Crayon Kids with siblings will get a couple extra pieces and parts.
They will also receive dot stickers and/or Dino spots for putting those on the letters of their name.
📚 Mrs. Johnson read the story, Three Hens and a Peacock. She sent it by message to the Crayon Kids.
📚 She also sent pictures of her new baby chicks. 🐥 🐥 🐥
🍎 It was good to catch up with the Crayon Kids and Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Ono.
🍎 If you took pictures of your Crayon Kids working and having fun with their activities, text the pictures to 919-271-1522 so your GFCC family can see them too.
🍎Are you and your family feeling the need to help someone in your community? 🍎Operation Senior Smiles through The Center for Volunteer Caregiving may be your answer. 🍎The Center sends handmade cards, drawings, pictures, poems and positive messages to senior adults who may be scared or lonely during this time of pandemic isolation. 🍎You and your littles could help these senior adults by sharing your beautiful cards and artwork with them. 🍎Simply mail your “Operation Senior Smile” pieces to the Center for Volunteer Caregiving, and they will do the rest. 🍎The address and all of the details are in the attached picture or on their live link. #whygfcc #bestpreschoolever
🍎 Let’s have a little afternoon FUN! 🍎 Do you remember The Bee Gees and their song “Stayin’ Alive”? 🍎Well, now there is a new version just for all of us and for our Pandemic Isolation pleasure! 🍎 Please enjoy the new Corona Virus Bee Gees parody entitled “Stayin’ Inside.” #whygfcc #bestpreschoolever
🍎 The Yellow Bears had a Zoom session this morning and talked about words that begin with the letter “B.”
🍎 Mrs. Ross made a few examples of boats with some simple household items and in this video she shows you how they actually float.
🍎 One of the boats was made from an empty juice box container, a drinking straw and color foam triangles for the sails.
🍎 Maybe you can make your own boats and text us pictures of them to 919-271-1522. We would love to post your pictures so we can show our whole GFCC family what you created.
