Tragic News in our GFCC Family

July 11, 2016

On the morning of Saturday, July 9, 2016, Tammy Eversole, one of our teachers, was faced with news that none of us ever want to hear or believe. Tammy's daughter, Erin, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.  Erin was a wife and mother of three children (two young sons and a 4-week old daughter).

As you can imagine, Tammy's world and that of her family has been turned upside down.  Mrs. Eversole has touched so many lives of the students she has taught over the years.  Over time, the students, parents, teachers, and staff seem to all become one big GFCC family, and when one of us hurts, we all hurt.

What can we do for our dear friend, teacher, and colleague during this horrible, unthinkable time in her life and the lives of her family?

  • If you are a praying family, please pray for Mrs. Eversole and her entire family. She is praying for God to "comfort my grandbabies, my son-in-law, my own babies and to make us stronger than we ever thought we could be."  Let's join Tammy in those thoughts and prayers.

  • Until we know of more specific needs, monetary gifts would be a very tangible show of support and love to Mrs. Eversole and her family.  A GoFundMe account has been established for this purpose.

As more information becomes available, we will post updates.

Thank you for your love and support of

 Mrs. Eversole and her family.
