Alison Yano grew up in Parma, Ohio. She attended Cleveland State University (in Cleveland) and Troy University (in Alabama). Alison earned several degrees from these universities -- a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration.
After she graduated, Alison taught Second Grade and Third Grade for 5 years. She was also a Literacy Coach for 5 years.
Alison is married to her husband, Brett, and they have 2 children. Their daughter attended GFCC and will be in first grade this year. Their son will be in one of the four-year-old classes at GFCC.
The Yano family lives in Cary. They have been a GFCC family since 2015-2016.
Alison enjoys doing anything outdoors, such as running, biking, hiking, and swimming.
We welcome Alison Yano to the staff of GFCC as a co-teacher in the Yellow Bears Transition class.
