Rumble in the Jungle - Week 2, Day 4 - June 27, 2019
July 2, 2019
Today we saw some interesting animal artifacts including a painting done by a REAL lion and REAL snake skins!
We read The Bug Zoo by Andy Harkness and The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry.
We talked about conservation and the layers of the rainforest:
the emergent layer
the forest floor (where many of the creepy crawlies we talked about today live).
Tomorrow is our final day of camp. You are invited to wear your green t-shirts.
We are expecting Dan the Animal Man from Wild Animal Encounters to bring some of his exotic friends for a special show and tell presentation.
If you do not see us at carpool, you may park your car and slip in quietly in the back of the room. Please be aware that Dan will be showing wild animals, so you will need to remain quiet and still during the presentation.
It’s been a great week rumbling through the jungle together!
