Elizabeth has a B.S. in psychology with a focus on early childhood development. She spent the past three years as the director of Methodist Children’s Center in Cary, where she led an amazing team who taught her invaluable lessons. Prior to this, she has worked as a preschool teacher, youth minister and stay-at-home mother. Elizabeth lives in Cary with her husband, Matt, and their two daughters, Alaina (11) and Caroline (7).
Elizabeth is excited for the opportunity to step into this leadership role at GFCC. She looks forward to taking the well-established reputation of GFCC and reaching further into the local community with the goal of providing quality early childhood education and development support to as many children and families as possible.
Leanne is a native of NC and graduated from Cary High School. She then attended Campbell University and received a Bachelor of Art in Music Education. After earning her Masters of Music from Appalachian State University in Vocal Performance, Leanne taught Preschool, Elementary and Middle School music, as well as, private voice and piano lessons. She worked for three years for WCPSS in their Kindergarten program.
Leanne has been a member of Greenwood Forest Baptist Church for 19 years, where she is active in the Music Ministry as a member of the Sanctuary Choir and as a volunteer in the Youth Ministry. Leanne joined the GFCC staff in 2009. Leanne taught in the 3s and 4s classrooms for five years before moving into a year-round staff position as the Office Administrator.
She and her husband Scot have 16-year-old twins, who are "graduates" of GFCC!
Leanne enjoys singing with the NC Master Chorale, volunteering with Apex High School Marching Band (go Cougars!), vacationing at the beach, and hanging out with her family at home.
